Meet Your Hosts

Barbara and Keá

Barbara has devoted the past 10 years to sharing the teachings of Yoga, Breath work (Pranayama), Meditation (Dhyana), Qigong, Vedic studies and yoga philosophies across Asia, an accredited yogini of E-RYT500. Yoga is a means of living by higher values to Barbara - purifying physical, emotional, intellectual and spiritual desires. Through embodying the essence of yoga beyond the mat and making yoga a way of living, it has drawn impactful and aligned people into her life as she builds her own community in her current home in Malaysia, for that she is incredibly humbled by its teachings.

Keá, founder of Mularetreats, a devoted yogini, began her spiritual journey after overcoming years of chronic health challenges and burnout. Her specialties include women’s health, cyclical living, Yin Yoga, and Integral Sound Healing.

Keá is the Yin to Barbara's Yang, the Moon to her Sun, their coherence working together as a team is a match-made in heaven. Can I come alone?
Absolutely.

Many, if not all of the retreat participants come on their own. As silence is an integral part of the retreat, it really does not matter if you come with company or alone. Many who came with company actually confessed they would prefer to have their own space and enjoyed holding space for one another amidst silence. It is profoundly incredible how relationships can flourish within deep stillness.
I am not comfortable with silence. Can I still join?
Of course.

We do understand some might find it daunting or intimidating to sit with silence, therefore a proper introduction to silence will be elaborated further on the first night which you may then decide should you partake in holding silence. The decision is entirely up to the practitioner however we ask that you also respect others who chose to hold silence. Silence being an integral part of the retreat, it is highly recommended that every participant abide to the retreat guidelines as outlined on the handbook (which will be handed out on the first day) and stay throughout the program for the whole experience. If you simply have other ideas or expectations about the retreat, perhaps this retreat is not for you, and we perfectly understand that.
